Ok, somebody suggested that it would be more "eggciting" to have more of a chicken's-eye view of the coop, so as long as it isn't chucking it down with rain, I will move the cam in the next few days to an outside location more on their level. It should provide some pretty amusing views (as long as the camera doesn't get busted!) - keep an eye out for more news...
Our hens are still not laying - I think it's due to the shorter days (they need at least 12 hours sunlight) - some hen keepers use artificial light to stimulate egg production all year round but we think it's kinder and certainly more natural to let nature take it's course... When they feel like laying again, they will!
Welcome to the new www.hencam.co.uk site - we will be adding more content as we get time and hope that eventually the site becomes a huge and useful resource for all your chicken husbandry needs!
If there is anything you'd like to see on the site, or tell us something funny you saw the hens do, or just want to say hello, then feel free to contact us with the hentalk link to the left.
